Following very positive feedback from participants, we have continued to run these workshops on a regular basis - see poster alongside for more details.

No Place Like Home is pleased to be involved with Kent Dementia Action Alliance in the organisation of this brilliant new event for Kent.
If you are living with dementia, are a family carer looking for free face-to-face advice and support, or a health and social care professional seeking the latest and best products and services - the Kent Dementia Showcase is for you.
Featuring a wide range of health and care exhibitors, expert speakers, and activities to share - all under one roof - this event provides a great opportunity to learn, discover solutions, experience activities and network with people who work in the sector.
What is a Local Dementia Action Alliance?
A Local Dementia Action Alliance (LDAA) is an easy structure for creating a Dementia Friendly Community (DFC). A LDAA is a group of people representing different sectors within an area who have come together to create a DFC alongside local people affected by dementia.
Everyone is welcome to join.
For more information, contact Alison Carter, Chair of Faversham DAA on 01795 597983
Alison also can be contacted about attending the DAA for Canterbury & Ashford which she co-chairs with the Alzheimer's Society.
***Dementia Friends Sessions***
If your organisation would like to arrange a Dementia Friends session to learn a little more about dementia, this can be delivered by an Alzheimer's Society Ambassador.
Alison Carter is an Ambassador along with several other is our LDAAs. During Covid, we moved to 'virtual' sessions via Zoom but face-to-face sessions are also available.
Just get in touch with us and we would be happy to help you.
It is also possible to undertake the online sessions via the Dementia Friends Website.
All sessions are volunteer-led and free of charge.
