On 24 January, Alison and Kim attended the 2024 Homecare Conference. This gives us the latest insight into government policy direction and also initiatives being undertaken in different parts of the UK to improve care in the home. It was encouraging to hear of some 'outcomes based' commissioning models which were less 'time and task' focused. However, there is a long way to go before this becomes the norm and it remains challenging for local authorities to define in contracts.
