No Place Like Home is a member of the national Dementia Action Alliance
The Dementia Action Alliance is the coming together of over 900 organisations to deliver the National Dementia Declaration; a common set of seven outcomes informed by people with dementia and their family carers. The Declaration provides an ambitious and achievable vision of how people with dementia and their families can be supported by society to live well with the condition.
In January 2014, No Place Like Home was one of the first members of a new Kent Dementia Action Alliance.
A range of actions are being developed at No Place Like Home as part of its membership of the Alliance. The formal launch of the new Kent
Alliance will take place at a 'Dementia Friendly Market Place' event to be held on 24th April in Canterbury Christ Church University's Augustine House, Canterbury CT1 2YA between 10am and 3pm.
The event will include exhibition space, a range of stalls, products, services, awareness and information sessions and a quiet area. Come and meet people already involved in local projects and chat to others about what's going on and what opportunities are available.
