Alison Carter, No Place Like Home's Managing Director, was overwhelmed at this year's Dementia Friendly Kent Awards when she was awarded the Emma Kent Award for Outstanding Contribution to Dementia. The award was given in recognition of her tireless efforts over the past decade to helping people directly affected by dementia and their families. Also, for her work raising public awareness of the condition through Dementia Action Alliance and as a Champion for Alzheimer's Research UK and Dementia Friends.
