Dementia Awareness Week - 18th - 23rd May
This time last year, we celebrated the launch of a new local Dementia Action Alliance for Faversham. This year, our local Alliance, which is chaired by No Place Like Home's Managing Director, Alison Carter, hosted a Dementia Awareness Day in Faversham.
During the week, Alison provided two Dementia Friends sessions. Also, No Place Like Home announced a new series of FREE Dementia Workshop for Family Carers.
The event received some excellent coverage in our local paper. Footfall was increased thanks to the launch of Faversham's Magna Carta Exhibition which was held on the same day at the Alexander Centre. Another event is planned for next year on Saturday 21st May.
